Hi,
Amazing sniper, i am now trying to model it with the reference that you made, which is amazing.
But i have got a problem on the part were the sight attaches onto the main weapon.
I just cannot figure out how to model part of it, please could you show me a wire from, it would be extremyl usful, as i am aiming to go into the game design industry, and i need to practive my modeling.
And if i lean now as i am only 16 then it will help me alot.
I am begging you to show me a wireframe please…

I was wondering where you got your specifications for the model. I have to do a project with NX 3.0 and I wanted to do a ghost; but I have no idea how to get the specific ratios and dimensions. I’m not allowed to model a weapon of any sort, but if you could tell me how or where to get the “blueprint” for the ghost, it’d be much appreciated.
Oh, nice job on the sniper by the way.

Hi Vrogy, very nice! The amount of detail is astounding.
One quick note though - it appears that the aperture of the scope does not line up with the weapon - it should be over the barrel.
Brilliant model!
Cheers,
Innes

Looks good, but you forgot the bipod.
For anyone looking for further reference, the Halo sniper was based on this South-African sniper rifle, the Mechem NTW-20:

@Michael:
If you have a copy of Halo 3, you can take screenshots of the ghost with the film function. They get uploaded to bungie.net, you can sign in using your windows live email/password and download the screenshots as references. They’ll be a little off because you won’t be able to get a perfect angle, but they should do the trick to get the basic shape and proportion.
